Adding mandatory fields for calculations

The Button tool lets you choose which fields must have a value other than zero before any results are shown with a button click.

Since the input element default value cannot be blank, each required field must have a value other than 0 for the results to appear.

Customizing a Button element

  1. The Button Text input field lets you label the button that is used to reveal calculated results.
  2. The Default error message lets you enter the message that users will see if they don't fill in the required fields.
  3. The Indicate required fields controls whether to show mandatory field icons next to required elements.
  4. The Formulas to calculate allows you to select the formulas whose results will be displayed only after clicking the button, provided all mandatory fields are filled.
  5. The Mandatory fields allows you to choose input fields that must contain a value (other than 0) for the results to be displayed.
